SAF-Teso

The service promotes environmental conservation, ecosystem restoration, and community empowerment in the Teso region. It rehabilitates degraded areas such as Nyorobe forest through tree planting and soil restoration activities. Local communities are supported with sustainable livelihoods like beekeeping, fish farming, and organic farming to reduce dependence on forest resources. Environmental education programs in schools and villages raise awareness on waste management, water conservation, and climate-smart practices. By combining restoration, education, and livelihood support, the service enhances biodiversity, improves incomes, and strengthens long-term community resilience.
